Super Bowl Saturday
Night on Fort Lauderdale Beach
Super Bowl Saturday Night is the
ultimate NFL fan celebration held the night before the Super Bowl.
This free, outdoor, evening event
will feature a live concert on the beach in Fort Lauderdale. A
20-minute Super Bowl fireworks spectacular will cap off the night.
Concessions will be available for purchase.

Concert guests can
park downtown and ride free shuttles to and from Fort Lauderdale
Beach
Beach parking is limited. Enjoy
low, $10 flat rate parking in downtown Fort Lauderdale with free
shuttle services to the beach.
On Saturday, from 12 noon to 12
midnight, 75 buses will run continuously to shuttle guests to and
from downtown to the Fort Lauderdale Beach concert site. Once parked
at any downtown parking garage or lot, guests can follow directional
signage to a bus-loading zone located at 150 SE 1st Avenue (between
Las Olas Boulevard and Broward Boulevard). Buses will take guests to
the SE 5th Street drop-off at the Beach (Alexander Park, 501
Seabreeze Boulevard). Police will assist guests crossing A1A at
SE5th Street, a short walk to the concert at Fort Lauderdale Beach
Park.
Following the event, guests will
follow the same path north for shuttle pick-up on SE 5th Street.
Shuttles will return guests to their original departure point at SE
1st Avenue.

A Special Message
to Beach Residents and Businesses
Live Nation, the concert promoter,
in conjunction with the NFL, presented detailed plans to ensure
public safety throughout preparation and execution of Super Bowl
Saturday Night.
PUBLIC SAFETY
The concert promoter has secured
services for crowd control, traffic management, fire rescue, ocean
rescue, emergency medical services and police.
PARKING
Concert guests are being encouraged
to use downtown parking areas to mitigate heavy traffic on A1A.
EVENT DURATION
The duration of the concert and
fireworks, from 6 pm - 10 pm, restricts noise to a narrow timeframe.
CONCERT SETUP
STARTS JANUARY 29
Concert setup will begin on Friday,
January 29. Crews of 25 to 100 will be working each day to construct
the stage and make other preparations.
Live Nation has reserved the entire
parking lot at Fort Lauderdale Beach Park (formerly known as South
Beach Park) from Friday, January 29 - Tuesday, February 9. Parking
has also been reserved at several smaller lots at Fort Lauderdale
Beach.
STREET CLOSURE
SE 5th Street, between Seabreeze
Boulevard and A1A, will be closed to traffic on Saturday, February
6.
Access will be limited to Shuttles.
LIMITED TEMPORARY
EXEMPTION IN OPEN CONTAINER ORDINANCE
From January 29 to February 8,
2010, individuals shall be allowed to carry and consume alcohol in
plastic cups in outdoor areas, including the sidewalks, on AIA
between the southern boundary of Sunrise Boulevard and the northern
boundary of Holiday Drive at Fort Lauderdale Beach. In no event
shall alcohol be permitted on the sandy beach. All other regulations
in the Code of Ordinances of the City of Fort Lauderdale shall
apply. (ORDINANCE NO. C-09-32, Section 4)

Super Bowl Saturday Night is free
to the public. There are no ticket sales.
Are there upgraded
Super Bowl Saturday Night tickets with enhanced options?
No, everyone admitted will be given
the same access to all features of Super Bowl Saturday Night.
Is there an ADA
entrance to Super Bowl Saturday Night?
All parking facilities listed above
are ADA accessible. ADA parking shuttles will be available at the
same shuttle pick-up and drop-off areas indicated on the map above.

Saturday Night will be ADA accessible.
Can I bring in any
outside food or beverages?
No outside food or beverages of any
kind will be allowed into Super Bowl Saturday Night. However, there
will be concessions available for purchase throughout the Super Bowl
Saturday Night campus.
Are cameras and
video cameras allowed into the NFL Super Bowl Saturday Night?
Cameras and video cameras for
personal use are not restricted. However, if you are a member of the
press, you will need to contact Steve Brener at

What can I bring in
to the NFL Super Bowl Saturday Night?
You and your personal belongings
will be subject to search upon entry into Super Bowl Saturday Night.
Bags under 12" will be permitted and are subject to search. The
following items are prohibited: oversized bags, all weapons,
alcohol, food, beverages, glass containers, fireworks, chairs,
tents, barbecue grills, umbrellas and blankets. Service animals only
are permitted.
Can I anchor my
boat at the beach in Fort Lauderdale Beach Park to watch the concert
and fireworks?
No. Per the United States Coast
Guard, no anchoring will be allowed. The area offshore most of south
Florida is a very environmentally sensitive area and the Coast Guard
must ensure adequate measures are in place to prevent damage to
protected and endangered species in addition to persons and
property.

Wednesday in February and March
Start your lunch hour on a high
note with the City of Fort Lauderdale’s 6th Annual Comcast Noon
Tunes, a free lunchtime concert series.
The 2010 Noon Tunes will be
presented every Wednesday, beginning February 3 through March 24,
from 12p to 2p at Stranahan Park, 100 E. Broward Boulevard in
downtown Fort Lauderdale.
The concert series offers a broad
range of musical varieties and features a different live performer
each week. Come have lunch and relax at one of the many picnic
tables that will be placed throughout Stranahan Park. From jazz to
classic rock-n-roll Noon Tunes has it all, so pack your lunch and
come enjoy nature and music together!
